Welcome 2021!

I’m sure everyone was happy to say their final goodbyes to 2020. It was a rough year, having a huge impact on club activities and large scale events. Conventions went to virtual online events, and club meetings were held via various social media platforms.

Check out the many Happy New Years from the Anime world at ANN!

It was a difficult year for the anime industry too. There were many delays and cancellations, and large scale events were cancelled or postponed due to the pandemic.

We here at ACU personally want to congratulate all club owners for going strong through these trying times as you have faced many challenges this past year with running your club. We also want to take this time to thank production staff for their efforts in delivering anime to us, despite this years challenges. It takes work to release every single episode, and a lot of staff are involved, so it’s important that we do not forget that a lot of these individuals worked through the pandemic to deliver entertainment to the masses.

And most of all, thank you for everyone’s patience and support this year!

Not a lot has been going on here, but we are 123 clubs strong. We urge you to reach out to us on our Facebook Group to chat with other fellow fans and talk about how your clubs are surviving during these times of limited face to face social interaction.

Also, you can still get your fix of anime from online streaming services like: FunimationCrunchyrollHIDIVEHulu, or Netflix.

Some theaters are still open, with limited capacity, and this month Studio Ghibli’s ‘Earwig and the Witch’ will be screened and streamed. We urge everyone to follow all CDC and local ordinances and guidelines during this pandemic and attend events only if you are comfortable doing so. Here is what has been announced so far for 2021.
